A proposed landfill was assessed for the economic and financial benefits it would provide to the county. The project is to be a public-private partnership under the direction of a new long term agreement with royalties. Currently the project is in a decision stage and has received much community feedback (both for and against). |

The EWMCE (www.ewmce.ca) is a consortium of four major research institutions seeking to help private sector commercialize environmental technologies, educate communities and find new global market opportunities for Alberta and Canadian business. A two phase project was developed to help the non-profit company address these issues through facilitated meetings, market research, industry interviews and international calls to the World Bank, Mexico and others.
The environment issue is one of the most important ones facing businesses, communities and people.
