Darrell Toma has over 25 years of experience in management consulting, business planning, economics, marketing and strategy development in agri-food, business, manufacturing and services in Canada and abroad. He was Principal in charge of management consulting with Deloitte & Touche, Edmonton. He is a Professional Agrologist, a Certified Management Consultant, and is involved in a number of professional associations.
He was awarded the "Distinguished Agrologist” Award in 1997 from the AIA for outstanding service to the industry. In 2002 he was given the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal and in 2005 he received the Alberta Centennial Medal from the Premier. He is Past-President of the Alberta Chambers of Commerce and was on the Canadian Chamber Board. He was the author of the Knowledge Guide on Best Management Practices and has been involved in the project since 2002. He has presented the project in Canada and Mexico (Texas A&M) has written articles on the concepts and is a frequent speaker to industry.

Terry Betker is the director of Practice Development in Agriculture and is a farm management consultant. He has over 25 years of experience in the sector. He is responsible for the development of the Agricultural Services that are delivered to more than 15,000 MNP farm clients.
Mr. Betker is a Certified Agricultural Consultant. He is a member, and past director, of the Manitoba Institute of Agrologists. He is national director of the Canadian Consulting Agrologists Association. He is also national director of the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors. He is past director of the Canadian Farm Business Management Council. He is appointed to the National Safety Nets Advisory Committee by the Federal Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and has been involved in the project since 2002. He has presented the project in Canada, the USA and Mexico and speaks on the concepts.
