Best management practices are used in other industries but are less adequate in agri-food industries. This project builds from prior highly successful western Canada research and an interactive project supported by the IAMF program. This specific CYFF pilot project will help transfer and share information among farmers to understand new and innovative management approaches. The project will help increase the competitiveness and knowledge.

This project uses the Knowledge Guide content and processes in a location based delivery approach through a specific working group environment for individual improvements.   Delivery will be made in selected BC and Alberta locations. This Best Management Practice pilot for young farmers will help define new learning processes and overcome management knowledge gaps. The learning platform is designed from other successful models used in the USA and Canada. The content model is from the Knowledge Guide on Best Management Practices.
